Day 2: Rabat to Chefchaouen (desert trip in Morocco)

After breakfast, we leave the Kingdom’s capital behind,and start heading towards the north of the country through the Atlantic coast. Our first stop along the way,could be at the town of Asilah. After lunch, we drive through the Rif Mountains,the stunning views company us to destination of the day: the Blue town of Chefchaouen. Day 3: Chefchaouen (desert trip in Morocco)

Day 4: Chefchaouen to Imperial City of Fes (desert trip in Morocco)

Today of this desert trip in Morocco,leaving the Rif Mountains and heading south to one of the most important cultural destinations in Morocco: the city of Fes. On the way there, we will first stop at the Volubilis site, which is an archeological town of ruins left behind by the Roman Empire. We will take some time to explore the town and learn about its historical significance, before moving along to the nearby Meknes city.

Previously nicknamed “Le Petit Paris” during French colonization, Meknes also used to be the Kingdom’s capital in the 17th and 18th centuries under the rule of the Ismaili Dynasty. This time period left behind some valuable monuments in the city, which you will get to explore today. Finally, we will continue out desert trip in Morocco straight to Fes city where we will spend the night at a traditional Riad.

Day 5: Day Tour Fes (Desert trip in Morocoo)

The next day, you will enjoy a traditional breakfast at the Riad, before heading out to explore the spiritual capital of Morocco, Fes city. The city is divided into two parts: Fes El Bali and Fes Jdid, which translate to the old Fes and the new Fes. Our tour will focus primarily on Fes El Bali since that’s where the Old Medina is.

The old Medina of Fes resembles a maze in how all of its narrow streets connect and lead to each other, making you feel like you’ve been completely immersed in traditional Moroccan culture. Our tour of Fes will also include iconic monuments such as the Quaraouine University (the oldest still operating university in the world), the Nejjarine museum, and The Bou Inania traditional school. After we are done with this, we can visit some parts of Fes Jdid next, where we can find a café with a lovely panoramic view to relax. Finally, we will head back to our Riad to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 6: Fes to Midelt (desert trip in Morocco)

This morning, we will be picking you up from the Riad to begin our journey to the Moroccan Sahara desert. The journey will take us through the majestic Middle Atlas Mountains with their fertile green and rocky landscape. Our First stop today will be at perhaps the prettiest village in all of Morocco, Ifrane, nicknamed “The Switzerland of Morocco”.

In Ifrane, green parks fill the city alongside chalets and other typical European architecture. After a stroll through the town center, we will be moving forward toward our next destination, the Cedar forests of Azrou. What’s so special about these forests is that they are the natural habitat of the native Barbary monkey species. We can have a refreshing walk through the cedar trees and hopefully get a glimpse of the monkeys (they’re accustomed to visitors!). Following this, our journey continues to the town of Midelt, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 7: Midelt to Merzouga & palmyra Luxury Camp

The next day of this desert trip in Morocco, after crossing the rest of the Atlas Mountains, we will start reaching Morocco’s desert with the first desert town: Erfoud. Erfoud is known locally for its high-quality marble, fossils, and dates. We will take this opportunity to have a mouthwatering traditional lunch (Berber pizza) before continuing on to the village of Merzouga: the gateway to the Moroccan desert.

Situated at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, Merzouga is the perfect location for us to begin our camel trekking expedition into the desert. The end destination of the camel trek is a lovely desert camp neatly hidden away between the dunes, where we will spend the night alongside the beats of Berber drums.

Day 8: Merzouga & Erg Chebbi Luxury Camp to Skoura Oasis (desert trip in Morocco)

The next day, we will be woken by the mesmerizing desert sunrise, after which we will see the camel trek back to Merzouga. Back in the town, you will be able to enjoy breakfast and a warm shower at our hotel. Following this, we will start heading to the final destination of this tour: Marrakech city.

But before this, our journey will take us to the Todra Gorges near Tinjdad, which are mesmerizing rock formations that attract climbers from all over the world. We will have lunch and spend some time exploring the site, before continuing to the Dades Valley. After this, we will take on a scenic road called the Road of The Thousand Kasbahs, which will lead us to the Skoura Palm Oasis where we will spend this night of your Casablanca Grand Tour.

Day 9: Skoura Oasis to Marrakech (desert trip in Morocco)

After breakfast, we will leave the Skoura Oasis behind as well as the road of the thousand Kasbahs. Our next stop will be the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is an iconic historical monument near Ouarzazate where many big Hollywood movies were shot (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of heaven, etc.).

Following this amazing exploration of this desert trip in Morocco, we will head to the nearby Ouarzazate city where we can visit the Kasbah of Telouet. Finally, we will take on a famous pass through the High Atlas Mountains called Tizen-Tichka before arriving at Marrakech. We will have dinner and spend the night at a local Riad.

Day 10: Day Tour Imperial City of Marrakech (desert trip in Morocco)

Day 12: Airport Transfer to Casablanca or Marrakech ( Last day of the desert trip in Morocco)

For the last day of this tour, you will have free time to explore the city depending on the schedule of your flight. We could drop you off at either Marrakech Menara airport or the Mohammed V airport.
