Day 1 of Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech: Arrival Casablanca to Marrakech.

Welcome to Morocco!

For the first day of this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, your designated driver will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation, then start exploring Casablanca city. Casablanca is known for many things, including the iconic 1942 movie and the world-renowned Hassan II mosque. We will visit this architectural gem before continuing our journey to Marrakech, the red city. This is where we will be spending the night.

Day 2: Marrakech.

The next day of this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech will be dedicated to exploring the red city of Marrakech and uncovering its hidden secrets. We will begin our time at the old medina with its never-ending streets, full of life, colors, and culture. Following this, we will pay a visit to the iconic Koutoubia mosque, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia palace, and the Majorelle garden (this list can be modified according to your liking).

In the evening, we will head to the lively Jamaa El Fna square, where you’ll get to see the true vibrant lifestyle of Marrakech city. Finally, we will return to our Riad in the Medina to spend the 2nd night of this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.  

Day 3: Marrakech to Dades Valley.

The following day, we will pick you up from the Riad early in the morning to start traveling through the beaten paths of the Moroccan desert. But before we do that, we will have to cross the high Atlas Mountains range, which will offer us breathtaking views to be remembered forever.

After we drive through the Tizen Tichka Mountain pass, we will get to one of the most interesting monuments in the region: the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou is a UNESCO world heritage site because of its immense historical and cultural value. The Kasbah has been used as a backdrop for many Hollywood movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy.

After exploring the Kasbah, we will continue driving to Ouarzazate, where we will have lunch and visit the famous Atlas cinema studios museum. Following this, we will leave Ouarzazateand then start crossing the road of the thousand Kasbahs and the Skoura palm grove before finally arriving at the Dades Valle,y where we will spend the night of this 3rd day of this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech. 

Day 4: Dades Valley to Merzouga & Erg Chebbi Luxury Desert Camp.

Today, you will wake up to the clean and fresh air of the Atlas Mountains, which will encourage you to take a stroll out through the Dades Gorges. Then, we will start traveling towards the final destination for today, the Merzouga village. Along the way, we will drive by mesmerizing valleys, lush greenery, and small Berber villages where we can stop to rest or take photographs.

Following this, we will reach the villages of Rissani and Erfoud, which are a strong indicator that we’re made it to Morocco’s desert regions. We will take this opportunity to have a mouthwatering traditional lunch before continuing to the village of Merzouga: the gateway to the Moroccan desert. The site edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, Merzouga, is the perfect location for us to begin our camel trekking expedition into the desert. The end destination of the camel trek in this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech is a lovely desert camp neatly hidden between the dunes, where we will spend the night alongside the beats of Berber drums.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi Desert Camp to Agdez.

The next day, we will be woken up by the mesmerizing desert sunrise, after which we will see the camel trek back to Merzouga. Back in town, you can enjoy breakfast and a warm shower at our hotel. We will then take on our 4×4 vehicles to start driving across the Anti Atlas Mountains and discover their mesmerizing landscape.

Our first stop will be at the Berber village Nkob, where some scenes of the movie Babel were shot with Brad Pitt. After lunch, we will continue our tour from Casablanca to Marrakech to the Agdez Kasbah found in the nearby Agdez village. We can take a walk inside the Kasbah and stop for refreshments at its rooftop café before heading back to the town to spend the night. 

Day 6: Agdez to Marrakech.

Today of our tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will be leaving the Anti Atlas to return to Marrakech. On our way there, we will stop at the famous Ouarzazate city, also called “the Hollywood of Morocco.” The town gained this title since it is home to Morocco’s largest cinema studios, which took part in producing some of Hollywood’s biggest movies. After a visit to the city’s cinema museums, we will have lunch and then leave in the direction of the High Atlas Mountains.

We will drive through Tizen Tichka, the 2260 meters high mountain pass, alongside the fascinating landscape of the mountains, before finally arriving at Marrakech in the evening. We will have dinner and spend the night at a traditional Riad.

Day 7: Marrakech to Essaouira.

For the last full day of our tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will go on an exciting excursion to Essaouira city, previously known as Mogador. The road trip will be a complete change of scenery from what we’ve been experiencing earlier on tour. Instead of Mountains and deserts, we will now enjoy the fresh sea breeze of the Atlantic Ocean, a bustling Old Medina, and fresh seafood.

You can take a walk alongside the city ramparts, go for a swim at the beach, or wander around the Old town’s streets. You will have the whole day to explore, and by the evening, we will head to a local Riad to spend the last night on this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.  

Day 8: Airport Transfer Casablanca, Marrakech, or Essaouira (Last day of this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech)

For the last day of this tour, you will have free time to explore the city, depending on your flight schedule. We can drop you off at either the Marrakech Menara airport or the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, bringing this tour from Casablanca to Marrakech to an end.
