ITINERARY

Day 1: Fes

Welcome to Morocco!

For the first day of your Fes Imperial cities tour, Our diver/guide will pick you up from the airport in one of our modern vehicles with A/C and drop you off at the Riad, where you will be staying. Take this time to relax and explore your surroundings by yourself for a bit. The city of Fes is considered the first capital of Morocco.

Day 2: Fes

The next day, you will enjoy a traditional breakfast at the Riad before heading out to explore the spiritual capital of Morocco, Fes city. The city is divided into Fes El Bali and Fes Jdid, which translate to the old and new Fes. Our tour will focus primarily on Fes El Bali since that’s where the Old Medina is.

The old Medina of Fes resembles a maze in how all of its narrow streets connect and lead to each other, making you feel like you’ve been completely immersed in traditional Moroccan culture. Our Imperial cities tour of Fes will also include iconic monuments such as the Quaraouine University (the oldest still operating university in the world), the Nejjarine museum, and The Bou Inania traditional school.

After we finish this, we can visit some parts of Fes Jdid next, where we can find a café with a lovely panoramic view to relax. Finally, we will head back to our Riad to have dinner and spend the 2nd night of your Imperial cities tours.

Day 3: Fes – Meknes – Rabat

Our journey today will take us from Fes to Meknes city, previously nicknamed “Le Petit Paris,” during French colonization. Meknes also used to be the Kingdom’s capital in the 17th and 18th centuries under the rule of the Ismaili Dynasty. This period left behind some valuable monuments in the city, which you will get to explore today. Meknes city is the second  Imperial city on this tour.

Following this, we will move on to the next imperial city on our agenda today: Rabat. Rabat city is the current administrative capital of the Moroccan Kingdom (ever since 1912). Our tour here will include many exciting stops such as the Kasbah of Oudaya, the Royal Palace gates, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Finally, after a long day of touring and exploring, we will check in to a local Riad hotel to spend the night.

Day 4: Rabat – Casablanca

This next day, you will have breakfast at the Riad before we take the Atlantic coast road to get to the famous city of Casablanca. Casablanca is known for many things, including the iconic 1942 movie and the world-famous world-renownedHassan II mosque. We will visit this architectural gem and then enjoy a stroll alongside the beautiful corniche, taking in the fresh sea breeze.

Next, we will head to the Anfa and Ain Diab districts, which are packed with modern and chic restaurants, cafes, and shopping centers. We will lead to a local hotel or Riad to spend the night.

Day 5: Casablanca – El Jadida -Oualidia – Essaouira

Continuing with our Atlantic coast adventures, today we will leave Casablanca and head to El Jadida city. El Jadida is a small port metropolis, considered today a World Heritage site by UNESCO. We will take a small area around the city town to discover all the monuments left behind after the Portuguese occupation.

Most of the following stops we will make alongside the Atlantic coast are going toMost have the same Andalusian/European charm since most of them fell under the hands of the Portuguese during the 15th century. Next, we will head to El Oualidia, a small fishing port village with amazingly fresh seafood (we can stop here for lunch). After another stop at Safi, the country’s pottery capital, we will travel next to Essaouira city, where we will spend the night.

Day 6: Esssaouira – Marrakech

The following day of your Imperial cities tours will be spent exploring the charming town of Essaouira and its UNESCO world heritage medina before leaving for Marrakech city. Depending on when we arrive, we can take a small tour of Jamaa Elfna and enjoy the colorful Old medina in the evening. We will spend the night at a Riad in Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech (Last day of Imperial cities Tours)

For the last day of this tour, we will be dedicated to exploring the red city of Marrakech and uncovering its hidden secrets. We will begin our time at the old medina with its never-ending streets, full of life, colors, and culture.

Following this, we will pay a visit to the iconic Koutoubia mosque, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia palace, and the Majorelle garden (this list can be modified according to your liking). In the evening, we will head to the lively Jamaa El Fna square, where you’ll get to see the true vibrant lifestyle of Marrakech city. This is where our Imperial cities tours end.
